![]() Or maybe TSM just isn't the genre I'm looking for. There were pirates but the only time I saw them in-game was part of certain quests from the expansion, but maybe that's just me? Anyways, there's still a lot of people who like TSM and I'm not saying I hate it, but there are just some flaws in it (from my perspective). It just resembled a stuff pack and I only liked the decor and outfits it gave. I also played it with Pirates and Nobles but to be honest I didn't really care much about the expansion. I also liked the whole 'Medieval' theme and that it fit really well. The Sims Medieval also seems to be pre-primed for expansion packs, as there are a number of areas your Sims visit, but you can't actually see, much like going off to a job in the original Sims. It was fun being a doctor and curing sicknesses with leeches that you had to collect by the pond or buy some from the village shop. But I did like how you could play as any Hero (Doctor, Wizard, Priest, Monarch, etc.) as a solo part so you could basically role-play. They were just endless missions that you had to complete to try to finish off an ambition for one world. There aren't actually even Elder, Toddler, or Teen life stages in TSM! Although the quests were fun ONLY when they were ones that I hadn't done already. ![]() The things that I didn't like the most were how your kids' life stages are only baby and child. Yeah, I used to play it so much but then it just got boring. Now, that would have made that game sell like hotcakes if people thought there would be more to freemode/sandbox once they finished an ambition. Like I hoped they would someday let players unlock a build happen.or some small generational play as a reward. I just wish it would have had more EPs and more things added to freemode once we did finish the Ambitions. When I finish 'questing' I enjoy just playing in freemode and making them do daily chores for their jobs and living their lives. The concept was great, taking the Sims back to medieval times, fighting battles, rescuing damsels It seemed like the perfect expansion, and in some ways it was. I like their traits since they matter and love the fatal flaw. I like it when they add real compositions of music to these games that I can recognize. I just love the fiddle and violin music they did use in that game. lol, I wanted them to add more ways for Simmers to create their own quests, (easy tool) I still play now and then. I actually love the TSM even though it is a role playing game. Medieval is definitely one of my fave of the series I surely hope a similar trend happens in the new incarnation of The Sims 4with some thing totally even different again, The Sims Medieval could of even been even better if EA kept on milking it. I do, and its still fun as ever! I think the main thing I like about it is that it kinda reminds me of The Sims 3 World Adventures in certain ways.
